Breeze Creative partnered with Marbles Kids Museum in Raleigh, North Carolina, to create a one-of-a-kind Draw Alive® experience that celebrates the city while inspiring creativity and imaginative play. Located within the museum's Animate Studio, the custom installation transforms children's artwork into a vibrant digital city inspired by Raleigh's iconic skyline. Designed specifically for the museum, the interactive exhibit encourages young visitors to explore art, technology, and their local community through an engaging hands-on experience.
Unlike a standard Draw Alive® installation, this custom experience was developed exclusively for Marbles Kids Museum and features recognizable Raleigh landmarks woven throughout the animated cityscape. Children can color unique illustrations before scanning their artwork to watch their creations come to life across two impressive 20-foot-wide projected displays. As their artwork joins the animated city, visitors discover familiar locations including the Dorton Arena, home of the North Carolina State Fair, as well as Marbles Kids Museum itself, complete with its iconic exterior mural and prism observation window. The result is an immersive digital environment that encourages creativity while fostering a meaningful connection to the local community.
The large-scale projections allow multiple children and families to interact with the experience simultaneously, creating a collaborative environment where imagination takes center stage. By combining traditional coloring with real-time animation, the exhibit encourages artistic expression, storytelling, and exploration while transforming a simple drawing activity into an unforgettable interactive experience. Visitors leave not only with the excitement of seeing their artwork come to life but also with a deeper appreciation for the city that inspired the exhibit.
